Hi! My name is Molly and I’m so glad you’re here! I graduated in 2011 from the University of Florida with a degree in political science and moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career in public policy. After a few years, I found my passion for health — both personal and policy-related — and decided to attend graduate school at George Washington University for a Master of Public Health. During graduate school, I had a little quarter life crisis that re-routed me to a career in medicine.
After a postbac year in Philadelphia and a long application process, I finally started medical school in the Fall of 2018. I’m currently a fourth year medical student interested in making health policy accessible to medical students. Health policy on a national, state, and local level deeply impacts clinical practice and medical students are often not given adequate education on the topic. If you want to expand your health policy knowledge, check out these awesome resources!
